Ximahe Park is located in the eastern part of Simao City, about 1 kilometer from the city center. The lush, upright Simao pines cover the mountains behind, while undulating terraces of Pu'er tea gardens stretch across the hills in front. Nestled against the mountain and by the water, the park boasts a beautiful environment and convenient transportation. It is a well-landscaped scenic area developed around the Ximahe Reservoir.

Legend has it that during the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang led his army on a southern campaign and stopped here, where he washed his warhorses in the river—hence the name "Ximahe" (Washing Horses River). The park is situated against the mountain and close to the city, featuring a statue of Zhuge Liang and several clay sculptures of warhorses. Built in 1985, Ximahe Park covers an area of 543 acres along the reservoir shore, with a water surface area of 600 acres. The park is fully equipped with various facilities, including a Chinese restaurant, teahouse, food store, cold drink shop, ice-skating rink, swimming pool, and root art exhibition hall, offering a range of recreational activities.
