The Sanjiang Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Sanjiang Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in Jinping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture. It is built around the backwater lake area of the Baishi Hydropower Station reservoir in Tianzhu County, covering a total area of 50.38 square kilometers, including 16.79 square kilometers of water surface, and is classified as an urban river-lake type water conservancy scenic area.

The Baishi Hydropower Station was completed and put into operation in 2013, with an installed capacity of 420,000 kilowatts and a regulated storage capacity of 172 million cubic meters. Through meticulous development of the riverside landscape belt, advancement of urban inland river ecological restoration, and strict control of wastewater discharge to meet standards, the area leverages its mountain-water resources and timber merchant culture to shape the brand “Scenic Sanjiang, Charming Sanjiang.” The scenic area boasts rich biodiversity, colorful and dazzling water landscapes, profound cultural heritage, and strong Dong ethnic flavor. Attractions such as the Sanjiang night view, waterfall clusters, Shanxiang forest sea, Sanjiangxi Dam, ancient post roads, and timber merchant guildhalls complement each other beautifully.

Major attractions include: the Jinping County Tourism Distribution and Comprehensive Service Center, the Maoping Ancient Town Cultural Leisure Experience Zone, the Liangjiang Characteristic Leisure Area, the Datong Rural Scenery Tourist Area, the Pinglue Agricultural Culture Experience Zone, and the Sanbanxi Water Ecology Science Popularization and Sightseeing Zone.
