Fairy Cave is located on the northeastern slope of Bashan Mountain within the Fairy Cave Nature Reserve, approximately 60 kilometers from the county town. It lies at the foot of the Meijiang River and is a limestone karst cave. The cave consists of three levels—upper, middle, and lower—each varying in elevation and offering distinct scenery. The lower cave is situated close to the riverbank, featuring a spacious entrance and a stalactite column over 10 meters tall that resembles a fairy standing gracefully. The middle cave sits at an altitude of 700 meters, about 220 meters above the lower cave, with a 3-meter-high and 6-meter-wide entrance. The upper cave is at an altitude of 1050 meters, and its entrance is often shrouded in mist. Legend has it that the cave houses ancient military treatises and a treasured sword.
