Dongshan Park

Introduction: Dongshan, also known as Qixia Mountain, is located outside the eastern gate of Guiyang. It stands as an isolated peak with steep cliffs and a height of about 1,200 meters. A winding path ascends from the northern slope to the summit, where the terrain becomes flat. The original Dongshan Temple has been destroyed, but many cliff inscriptions and stone tablets remain preserved. The area is characterized by its “majestic mountain beauty and serene scenery,” as well as verses such as “The eastern ridge road is like a ladder, shrouded in deep clouds and dawn mist.” From the heights, you can gaze out at the lofty peaks bathed in rosy light and the winding ridges veiled in drifting clouds. Looking down over the city, the countless homes and flickering lights are vividly visible. Transportation: You can take bus routes 6, 32, or 64 within the city to Dongshan Park Station.
