Penglai Fairyland · Leisure Agriculture Tourism Area is an agricultural tourism destination primarily focused on showcasing modern agriculture, integrating ecological agriculture, circular agriculture, precision agriculture, and tourism-oriented leisure agriculture. Strolling along the pastoral corridor, you’ll be greeted by rows of colorful, uniquely shaped specialty vegetables, premium fruits, herbs, and hull-less pumpkins — all within easy reach.

Penglai Fairyland · Leisure Agriculture Tourism Area is located in Niuchang Township, Baiyun District, Guiyang City, approximately 25 kilometers from the city center. It is one of the national demonstration sites for leisure agriculture and rural tourism. The scenic area spans a total planned area of 66.5 square kilometers, with its core section covering 2,000 acres. It serves as an agricultural tourism destination primarily focused on showcasing modern agriculture and integrating ecological agriculture, circular agriculture, precision agriculture, and tourism-oriented leisure agriculture.

Since 2013, Baiyun District has been focusing on the overall requirements of the “5100 Project,” aiming to build “Cool and Pleasant Guiyang as a Leisure Tourism Destination.” Efforts have centered on improving infrastructure, reception and service facilities, and enhancing tourism functionality. Key developments include the construction of a major access road to the scenic area (Yansha Line), road signage, a visitor center, public toilets, walking trails, leisure pathways, squares, rest areas, sightseeing pavilions, lotus ponds, corridors featuring exotic melons and fruits, informational signs, and safety warning signs. Completed projects also encompass the main park gate, exhibition grounds, cultural square, wooden boardwalks, fencing, a dedicated water supply network, irrigation and drainage channels, relocation of power lines, and a sewage treatment system. Additionally, cultural exhibition venues have been built, themed around Buyi culture, farming culture, and mythology — namely the Farming Culture Museum, Buyi Culture Museum, and Immortal Culture Museum.
