Stone Archway of the Scenic West Lake

The Stone Archway of the Scenic West Lake is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

The ancient and majestic "Scenic West Lake" stone archway from the Ming Dynasty was built in 1544. The side gates are 2.9 meters wide with towers 4.3 meters high, while the central gate is 3.7 meters wide and its tower also stands 4.3 meters tall. The archway is made of red sandstone with chamfered square pillars, featuring column-supporting stones at the front. The lintel above the central gate is inscribed with the regular script "Scenic West Lake," while the back is inscribed with the regular script "Loyal and Virtuous Father and Son." The horizontal beam features carved patterns of double dragons and phoenixes. It holds significant value for the study of Ming Dynasty architecture, stone carving, calligraphy art, and Tusi culture, and is now a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.
