Tieshe'ao Primary School -- Site of the Former Tieshe'ao Branch of the Chinese Communist Party

Tieshe'ao Primary School (now Qingping Town Central Primary School in Qingping Town, Shizhong District, Leshan City) is located at No. 135, Tieshe'ao Street, Qingping Town, Shizhong District, Leshan City.

In May 1929, after Xiong Hongzhang, a member of the Jiating Special Branch of the Chinese Communist Party, successively introduced Huang Junru, the vice principal of Tieshe'ao Primary School, and teacher Liu Hanwen, among others, to join the Party, the Tieshe'ao Party Cell was established, with Liu Hanwen in charge. In the spring of 1930, the Jiating County Committee of the Chinese Communist Party sent member Tong Guangmin to teach at Tieshe'ao Primary School to assist Liu Hanwen, Huang Junru, and others in carrying out Party work. They successively established a farmers' association and a women's association, and developed Party members. That summer, the Tieshe'ao Branch of the Chinese Communist Party was established, under the leadership of the Jiating County Committee, with Huang Junru as the secretary. At its peak, the branch had up to 18 Party members and over 20 League members. After the establishment of the Tieshe'ao Party Branch, in response to local rice merchants exploiting the farmers, it led the farmers in struggle and posted slogans such as "Down with the local tyrants and evil gentry!" on Yapeng Mountain. After the struggle suffered a setback, some Party members moved to other areas. In the autumn of 1933, Deng Keyu and Zhang Ying, members of the Jiating Central County Committee, went to the Qinglong, Baima, and Louzi Township areas to carry out farmers' movement work, strengthening the organizational development of the Tieshe'ao Party Branch. Huang Shuqing served as the secretary, Lin Xigui as the organizational committee member, Huang Wancheng and Huang Guangyao as the publicity committee members, and Wang Ruibang as the armed forces committee member. The activities of the Tieshe'ao Party Branch became increasingly active, expanding their reach from Louzichong to Tieshe'ao and from Huashizui to Hekan and Changshangen. In addition to actively recruiting advanced individuals into the Party, the branch also expanded the farmers' association, promoted the slogans of overthrowing the local tyrants and distributing land, and mobilized the masses to prepare for an armed uprising. In May 1934, due to betrayal, Zhang Ying and others were successively arrested by the Leshan Anti-Communist Committee, and the Party members moved elsewhere, leading to the destruction of the Party Branch.

Tieshe'ao Primary School was later rebuilt and is now Qingping Town Central Primary School in Qingping Town, Shizhong District, Leshan City. It holds no official protection or utilization status.
