The Zengda Township government is 48 kilometers from Jinchuan County. The area has an elevation ranging from 2,000 to 4,500 meters. Zengda, in the Jiarong Tibetan language, means "mouth of the valley." The Huangcaoping viewing spot of the Golden Clouds Flower Sea is 77 kilometers from Jinchuan County and 69 kilometers from the Jiaju Tibetan Village. The Golden Clouds Flower Sea is situated on the mountaintop of a large mountain, surrounded by peaks and crisscrossed by streams. During the day, visitors can admire flowers, view sea of clouds, and watch sunrises, while at night, they can enjoy the moon and gaze at the brilliant starry sky, making it a perfect destination for outdoor exploration and camping. From early June to the end of July each year, highland flowers such as rhododendrons, irises, asters, delphiniums, pedicularis, and meconopsis in Zengda Dagou Village bloom successively. Countless varieties of wildflowers at different altitudes create a breathtaking scene of vibrant blossoms and rolling sea of clouds, resembling a magnificent heavenly garden.

Attraction Introduction: From early June to the end of July each year, highland flowers such as rhododendrons, irises, asters, delphiniums, pedicularis, and meconopsis in Zengda Dagou Village bloom successively. Countless varieties of wildflowers at different altitudes create a breathtaking scene of vibrant blossoms and rolling sea of clouds, resembling a magnificent heavenly garden.

Starting from the Zengda Township government, passing through Tan'ganyao Village, you can reach Dagou Village, which is currently the most recommended route.

After 7.3 kilometers from the township government, turn left at the T-junction with the small bridge and continue uphill. (At 12.5 kilometers, there is no telecom signal, mobile signal is intermittent, and internet is poor. If traveling in a group, bring walkie-talkies.) Around 15 kilometers, the road changes from cement to gravel. At 24 kilometers (approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes), you’ll reach the fork leading to three scenic spots. Go right for Huangcaoping, and left for Kakou and Xiaocaoping, then proceed 5 km, 1 km, and 8 km respectively.

Huangcaoping is at an altitude of 3,600 meters with a relatively concentrated grassy area; Xiaocaoping is at 3,700 meters and is a favorite spot for photos and posing, as well as a viral photo location; Kakou is at 4,500 meters, offering distant views of the mountains and grazing trails.

Friendly Reminders:

1. After 7.3 kilometers, you’ll enter a village road that is 4 meters wide, with guardrails only at curves. Large and medium-sized vehicles are prohibited. There are many steep descents and ascents—do not attempt the drive if your vehicle is not in good condition.

2. Ascending from the township government (2,100 meters) to Kakou (4,500 meters) involves a sudden rise of 2,400 meters in elevation. Please assess your own limits.

3. Above 3,800 meters in elevation, you may encounter herds of multi-ribbed yaks and various wild pheasants. Please pass quietly and avoid startling them.

4. Please help preserve the beautiful environment of the Golden Clouds Flower Sea—do not litter. Do not drive vehicles into the flower fields or attempt to capture small animals.

5. There is a significant temperature difference between day and night at high altitudes. Bring light jackets for mornings and evenings. The midday UV is extremely strong—prepare hats, sunglasses, umbrellas, sunscreen, lip balm, sun-protective clothing, and comfortable walking shoes.

6. Facilities in the flower sea area are limited and the journey is somewhat long. Bring your own drinking water, dry food, fruits, snacks, etc. Limit alcohol intake and eat more vegetables and fruits to prevent altitude sickness.

7. Bring basic medications: altitude sickness medicine such as Rhodiola, as well as cold medicine, stomach medicine, band-aids, and essential oils.
