Balang Mountain is located to the east of Xiaojin County, at the junction of Xiaojin, Wenchuan, and Baoxing counties, over 200 kilometers from Chengdu. In Tibetan, Balang Mountain is called Abalangyi, said to be the father of the Four Girls. It is the essential route to Mount Siguniang. The main peak of Balang Mountain stands at an elevation of 5,040 meters. Driving through this area allows you to experience the dramatic twists and turns of the plateau and enjoy the thrill of a safe yet exciting road trip.

Towering peaks rise abruptly, overlapping ridges and rugged cliffs dot the landscape. The mountain is covered with lush alpine vegetation, which bursts into vibrant colors in spring and summer, resembling a giant carpet spread across the hills. Herds of leisurely grazing yaks and sheep are a common sight. The blue sky and white clouds set off the continuous snow-capped mountains, while clouds linger halfway up the slopes, making the peaks appear and disappear intermittently, exuding both grandeur and mystery. Balang Mountain is called Balangla in Tibetan, with an elevation of around 5,000 meters. The mountain pass area of Balang Mountain is approximately 4,500 meters above sea level.
