Two Rivers Mouth Meeting Memorial Hall

The Red Army’s Long March Two Rivers Mouth Meeting was an important gathering following the Zunyi Conference of the Communist Party of China. In 1980, the People’s Government of Sichuan Province designated the meeting site as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit. In 2006, the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the People’s Government of Sichuan Province designated the site as a Sichuan Provincial Patriotic Education Base. In 2007, it was recognized as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit. On April 1, 2017, it was named a National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. The base mainly includes: the site of the Two Rivers Mouth Meeting and the Xiaojin County Red Army Long March Two Rivers Mouth Meeting Memorial Hall. To enrich the patriotic education content of the base, the Xiaojin County Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery located in Two Rivers Mouth Village has also been included as a learning and visiting site. The memorial hall covers an area of 5,401.8 square meters, with a building area of 2,140.1 square meters. Themed “Victorious Union and the Decision to March North,” the exhibition is organized along the timeline of the First and Fourth Front Armies’ battles and life in Xiaojin. The exhibition halls are divided into the Preface Hall, the Union Celebration Hall, the Government Establishment Hall, and the Marching North Hall. It utilizes multimedia audiovisual scenes, sculptures, oil paintings, artifacts, photographs, and historical documents to enhance the educational, informative, and engaging nature of the memorial hall.
