Jiafan Ancient Town is a cultural tourism attraction.

"Jiafan"

means "king" in Tibetan. As the "Town of Kings," Jiafan Ancient Town is located in the renowned scenic area of Jiuzhaigou — Ganhaizi. The legendary Emperors Yan and Huang both originated from this region, making the beautiful Ganhaizi a sacred site for Chinese descendants to trace their roots. Historical records indicate that during the Tang Dynasty, King Songtsen Gampo of Tubo engaged in fierce battles with the Tang forces at Songpan, which later inspired the legendary story of Princess Wencheng’s marriage to Tubo. His army passed through Shenxianchi and Ganhaizi en route to Songzhou, leaving behind numerous ancient campsites and relics of the Tibetan and Qiang peoples.

Jiafan Ancient Town is situated in the famous Ganhaizi Scenic Area of Jiuzhaigou, guarding the essential route between Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong. It serves as the gateway to the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. The high-quality ecological conditions of the Jiuhuan Line offer convenient transportation, connecting the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, Jiafan Ancient Town, Jiuhuang Airport, and Huanglong Scenic Area along one route. It is approximately 55 km from Jiuhuang Airport and 27 km from the entrance of Jiuzhaigou, enjoying an exceptionally strategic location.
