Nature Park

Nature Park is located on the banks of the Tuojiang River, six kilometers south of the downtown area, covering an area of approximately 600 acres. It is a sightseeing agricultural scenic area nestled against mountains and water, filled with birdsong, floral fragrance, and fresh air. The park is a leisure destination that combines water recreation, dining and accommodation, conference reception, chess and card entertainment, sports and fitness, camping and outdoor cooking, as well as landscape sightseeing.

In the early years of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty, Zeng Qiren, an ancestor of the Zeng clan from Nanfeng County, Jiangxi Province, migrated to Sichuan as part of the “coastal evacuation” policy. From his descendant Zeng Quanhe onward, the family began to settle in Xiejia Dam, Neijiang. The residence underwent several expansions and was eventually developed into the “Nanfeng Aristocratic House” compound. Covering 150 acres, it comprised over 200 rooms of various sizes, with three courtyards and three stories, interconnected left and right, featuring courtyards within courtyards and scenery within gardens, forming 48 “sky wells.” The main gate is slightly askew, built according to feng shui principles to invite great fortune and prosperity. On the left side of the gate are four horse-tying posts, indicative of the frequent visits by high-ranking officials and nobility in those days. There is also a Moon-Viewing Tower, offering views of distant mountains and the Tuo River below. Upon entering the main gate and passing through the large courtyard, one walks through corridors and winding paths that twist and turn, seemingly extending endlessly. The entire residence is square-shaped, simple, and classic in style, with gray tiles, white walls, wooden structures, and carved windows—representing a typical example of traditional Sichuan residential architecture.

Nature Park relocated the on-site employees and invested heavily to restore the original appearance of the “Nanfeng Aristocratic House,” creating this culturally rich humanistic landscape. It allows modern urban dwellers to experience the vicissitudes of history and the depth of culture while enjoying leisure and entertainment.
