Dazhou Square

Dazhou Square is located on the banks of the Tuojiang River in Neijiang. Facing the Daduhui Memorial Hall and Xilin Park across the river, the square is shaped like a crescent moon. It stretches 1,100 meters from east to west and is 96 to 165 meters wide from north to south, covering a planned area of 140,000 square meters (210 acres). With an estimated total investment of 26 million yuan, it was one of the five major urban construction projects in Neijiang determined by the municipal government in the year 2000. Once completed, Dazhou Square boasts a green space ratio of 75%, making it a large-scale comprehensive urban square and green center that integrates leisure, entertainment, sightseeing, and more. The entire square consists of 15 functional zones, including the central square area, delicate flower area, wind chime square area, pergola forest area, water theater, children’s activity area, seniors’ activity area, and service center area. It is now the largest urban central square in Sichuan.
