Yilan Ancestral Hall

Yilan Ancestral Hall is a Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Yilan Ancestral Hall [Bei of Anping Village, Hexing Town, Qing Dynasty · Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit], also known as Zhangjia Rear Camp due to the legend that Zhang Xianzhong stationed troops here during the late Ming Dynasty.

During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1736–1795), it was the residence of Zhang Huaisi (who once served as magistrate of Wanping County) and later sold to the Zhang family to be used as an ancestral hall. Facing south, the property occupies 3,353 square meters, laid out as a quadrangle courtyard, with a stone-and-timber structure. Originally, there were matching screen walls and a pair of stone lions on both sides of the front gate. Currently, the surviving structures include the gate tower, front hall, rear hall, east and west side corridors, the west wing room, 48 stone pillars of various sizes, and stone-carved plaque couplets on the eaves and interior pillars of the halls. There are also inverted stone lions and qilins above the stone pillars. In January 2003, it was announced as a Deyang Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Protected Area: East to the eastern edge of the east wing room, south to the southern edge of the bedroom hall, west to the western edge of the west wing room, north to 10 meters beyond the northern edge of the mountain gate.

Construction Control Zone: A 20-meter buffer extending outward from the protected area.
