Mianyang Longquan Fairy Cave
Introduction to Mianyang Longquan Fairy Cave Situated in An County, a key town in northwestern Sichuan, Longquan Fairy Cave is 40 km from Mianyang and 130 km from Chengdu. It lies on the route to Mianyang’s “Science & Engineering Tour,” home to Asia’s largest wind tunnel, and is on the same itinerary as celebrated scenic spots such as Baishui Lake, Luofoshan Mountain, Huanglong Temple, and Jiuzhaigou. The location offers convenient access, with vehicles able to drive right up to the cave entrance.
The cave boasts a majestic presence, with scattered palatial chambers, towering cliffs, hanging stalactites in diverse shapes, underground rivers, deep pools, murmuring streams, and an ethereal, dreamlike ambiance.
Several exits from the back hills of Longquan Fairy Cave are hidden within pristine dense forests. The entire underground cave system is estimated to span five to seven kilometers, connected by a four-kilometer underground river. Once fully developed, visitors will be able to take boat rides all the way to the Anchang River, truly making it “the world’s premier cave, offering a two-day adventure underground.”
