Sisters’ Bridge

Sisters’ Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Sisters’ Bridge: Located in Wufu Village, Xiaoba Town, at the midsection of the Qianfo Mountain National Forest Park and Luofu Mountain Hot Spring Scenic Area, it spans the Chaping River running from north to south. Surrounded by rolling hills, the bridge resembles an exquisite, serene traditional Chinese painting when viewed from afar. The Sisters’ Bridge is also known as the Twin Wooden Bridge, High Bridge, or Wufu Bridge. Originally built during the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, it was initially constructed as a stone slab bridge. Due to frequent flooding and drowning incidents along the Chaping River, in the 11th year of the Tongzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1873), local villagers voluntarily raised funds and materials and employed craftsmen to rebuild it as a wooden covered bridge.

Protected area: East to Tianqiao Power Station, south to the Xia (Ba) – Cha (Ping) Highway, west to the Laojiaoyan Tunnel, north to the old ancestral home foundation of the Li Family Gully’s Hou Family.

Construction control zone: Extending 20 meters beyond the protected area.
