In 2012, the Rizang Cantilever Bridge was designated as part of the eighth batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Sichuan Province.

Protected area: 200 meters beyond the site boundary.

Construction control zone: 20 meters beyond the protected area. (Note: As there is a road located 16 meters to the southeast, this 16-meter section is designated as a key protection area, while the remaining 184 meters are designated as a general protection area).
