Chongqing Tiankeng and Difeng is a national scenic area and a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The world-renowned Tiankeng and Difeng Scenic Area is located in the southern mountainous region of Fengjie County. It borders the Qutang Gorge of the Three Gorges Scenic Area to the north, connects to the Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hubei Province to the south, and links to the ancient human cultural site of Longgupo in Wushan to the east. Stretching 37.5 kilometers from east to west and 19.5 kilometers from north to south, the area spans 340 square kilometers and includes five major scenic zones: Tiankeng and Difeng, Longqiao River, Maze River, Jiupan River, and Maocaoba. The lowest elevation is 236.4 meters, while the highest reaches 2,084.2 meters. The developed section of the Difeng from Tianjingxia Bridge to Huitou Stone is about 5 kilometers long, with boardwalks descending from Luojiaping into the Difeng, forming a loop. The area features numerous and peculiar karst caves and sinkholes, surrounded by countless legends. The rocky cliffs on both sides are wildly diverse, with dense forests on the cliffs shading the gully as if closing in.

Tiankeng and Difeng form a magnificent, colorful scroll of nature, encompassing stone forests, caves, waterfalls, natural bridges, a well-developed underground river system, sinkholes, and more — a breathtaking sight. Crystal-clear streams meander through the towering mountains, and the pristine grasslands and lush forests together create an idyllic paradise. With elevations above 1,000 meters, it's also an ideal destination for summer retreats and snow scenery viewing. Moreover, the rural charm here resembles a rich Tujia ethnic love song, where the simple folk customs captivate countless domestic and international visitors.
