Introduction: Yong'an Palace was the historic site where Liu Bei, the Emperor Zhaolie of the Shu Han, entrusted his son and the future of the kingdom to Zhuge Liang. In the second year of the Zhangwu era (222), Liu Bei led 200,000 troops eastward to avenge the death of Guan Yu. However, they were defeated by the Eastern Wu general Lu Xun’s fire attack across an 800-li-long camp line and retreated to Jianping in Wushan. He then defended Yufu, renamed the county Yong'an, and the camp was also called Yong'an Palace. It is now located within the compound of Fengjie Normal School.
