The Tomb of Monks from the Upper Temple is a Chongqing Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

The Tomb of Monks from the Upper Temple is located in Shuanghe Village, Tuxiang Town, Fengjie County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty. It includes cylindrical stupas and hexagonal stupas.

In 2019, the Tomb of Monks from the Upper Temple was designated as part of the third batch of Chongqing Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government.

Tuxiang Town: Tuxiang Town is situated in eastern Chongqing and western Hubei, bordering Qinglong Town to the east, Lichuan in Hubei to the west, Taihe Township to the south, and facing Yunyang County across the river to the north.

It administers 20 administrative villages and one neighborhood committee, covering a total area of 252.6 square kilometers with a population of 52,000. The Fengli and Feng’en highways run through the town. The terrain is higher in the south and lower in the north, with altitudes ranging from 436 to 1,916 meters. It serves as an important economic and trade hub and logistics center in the border region of eastern Chongqing.
