Luolai Mountain is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Luolai Mountain is located within Jiangjin District, Chongqing, 63 kilometers from the urban area of Jiangjin and 78 kilometers from downtown Chongqing. It is a municipal-level scenic spot.

Luolai Mountain is an isolated peak towering among hills and plains, surrounded by steep cliffs and rock faces, with four fortified gates standing at the east, west, south, and north. In ancient times, Luolai Mountain was famous for horse breeding. When viewed from afar, the mountain is set off by 99 peaks, resembling a herd of galloping dark horses rearing their heads and hooves as they charge northward. Due to its majestic and vigorous presence as if soaring through the air, it was named Luolai Mountain.

Luolai Mountain is an extension of the northern range of the Loushan Mountain system of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. Influenced by the ancient Himalayan orogeny, the mountain rises abruptly with steep and precipitous terrain. The entire mountain stretches approximately 3 kilometers from east to west and 2 kilometers from north to south, with an elevation of 1,032 meters. The Luolai Mountain scenic area consists of the 99 Peaks of Luolai, Longdeng Mountain, Zijingshan, and Tiantai Lake. Longdeng Mountain was once a refuge for Emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty, while the Zhizui Cave on Luolai Mountain was where Comrade [name redacted] once spent the night in the open. Jigong Ridge juts out like the head of a divine rooster from the northeast of the mountain. On the red cliff face halfway up the southern side of the mountain lies the Hongyan Cave, featuring a natural stone carving complex stretching 700 meters long and 200 meters high.

The temperature on Luolai Mountain remains around 14.7°C year-round, with abundant rainfall. Most of the time, the area is shrouded in clouds and mist, creating ideal conditions for plant growth. Tea plantations cover the 99 peaks, interspersed with pavilions, waterside pavilions, and gardens. The mountainside is wrapped in forests where wild boars and foxes roam, while the foothills are covered with vast palm groves, presenting a charming subtropical landscape. The "Luolai Yingchun" and "Lai Shan Yunwu" teas produced on the mountain are both premium varieties.

The Luolai Mountain tourist area combines summer retreats, sightseeing, leisure, convalescence, and tea tasting. It is characterized by its tea plantation scenery, featuring not only captivating natural landscapes but also various uniquely built cultural attractions. It is an excellent destination for leisure and vacation and has become a tourist resort that primarily focuses on tea business development alongside diversified industries.
