Rose Sea Scenic Area
The Rose Sea Scenic Area is located in Chongkan Town, Tongnan District, 37 kilometers from the district center and just 1 kilometer away from the most beautiful sea of flowers—the Tongnan Rapeseed Flower Scenic Area. The area cultivates roses across 6,000 mu of land, with the scenic zone itself spanning 4,000 mu. Since 2016, it has hosted the Rose Festival themed “Tongnan Roses in Bloom—Come for Love…”, attracting a large number of tourists for sightseeing every year.
Every year from April, the rose season begins, and the scenic area successively holds events such as the Rose Festival, Camping Festival, Qixi Valentine’s Day, and National Day Garden Festival. The area offers distinctive homestays and specialty rose-themed cuisine. With ten thousand mu of Damascus rose industrial bases and two million perennial blooming roses in the core scenic area, visitors feel as if they are in a rose paradise.
520 Rose Stairway: A rose stairway made of climbing roses, stretching 520 steps. As visitors ascend, they can immerse themselves in the profound emotions of love.
In addition to admiring the sea of roses, visitors can also pick flowers and experience the joy of making rose essential oil.
