Jinniuling Park is a place where locals in Haikou relax and unwind on a daily basis. Though not large, the park remains lush with trees all year round, featuring many tropical plants as well as a zoo that houses a variety of wild birds—making it especially ideal for family outings. The Palm Garden within the park boasts a wide variety of palm trees, arranged at varying heights to create a vibrant tropical landscape.

Jinniuling Park is mainly divided into two major sections: the Tropical Botanical Garden and the Zoo. At the park entrance, which leads directly to Haixiu Avenue, tall and sturdy palm trees stand in neat rows along both sides of the road. Looking up while walking, you’ll see a majestic golden bull standing tall amidst the lush greenery—this is the iconic symbol of the park.

The park features various scenic areas with distinct landscapes. It includes Jinniu Lake, a comprehensive zoo, a Pigeon Garden, a Butterfly Garden, a Bamboo Garden, an Areca Garden, a Jackfruit Garden, a Tropical and Subtropical Fruit Garden, a Flower Garden, a Martyrs' Cemetery, and a Fitness Square—making it one of Haikou’s large-scale garden parks encompassing nine gardens, one lake, and one square.
