Haikou Baishuitang Wetland Park

Located south of Haikou City on the west side of the East Expressway and the south side of the Ring Expressway, Haikou Baishuitang Wetland Park boasts abundant water sources, numerous natural lakes, lush aquatic plants, dense forests, and limited basic farmland—making it an ideal site for a wetland park.

The wetland park plans to establish Hainan’s most environmentally friendly water treatment system around Baishuitang, creating large areas of natural wetlands, planting wetland vegetation, and enhancing biodiversity. Facilities include a wetland education center, a wetland-themed restaurant, a youth hostel, creative workshops, recreational wetland trails, a wetland experience island, and wetland bird-watching spots. The auto camping area features diverse functional zones: camping, picnic, service and activity, and ecological conservation areas. There are also plans for flower sea greenways, herb gardens, and aromatic plant experimental bases. These not only provide suitable campsites and activity spaces for various types of campers but also create a weekend garden for local residents. The park’s 17.5-kilometer scenic greenway will become Hainan’s most pleasant and longest such trail.
