Luoshuai Village is located beside the highway from Yacha in Baisha County to Shiyun in Qiongzhong, on the edge of Baisha Yuanmen Township and the Yinggeling Nature Reserve. It is a Li ethnic village nestled at the foot of Yinggeling. The area boasts stunning scenery and fresh air, with misty vapors blending with the smoke from farmstead kitchens to permeate the breath. If you enjoy nature, you can enjoy catching shrimp, gathering snails, hiking, farming, and riding horses here.

Luoshuai Village is located about 20 kilometers from the county town of Yacheng. It lies adjacent to Fairy Creek, surrounded by green mountains, with fresh air and an extremely high concentration of negative oxygen ions, making it a true tropical natural oxygen bar, also known as the Rainforest Villa. Cooling off in Luoshuai, getting "oxygen drunk" is the primary experience.

Baisha Luoshuai Village is among the first batch of “China’s Ethnic Minority Characteristic Villages.” Originally a poor mountain village at the foot of Yinggeling, it is nestled among the hills and is a Li ethnic settlement. However, it has now transformed into a village of row houses with modern facilities, almost fully covered by Wi-Fi, and is a tropical natural oxygen bar.

“Luoshuai” is a transliteration from the Li language. Here, “luo” means old, and “shuai” refers to lychee. There used to be a wild lychee forest here, so the village was named after “shuai,” which does not carry the same meaning as in Chinese characters.

Luoshuai Village has built the Tianya Post Station. Here, you can not only experience the rich culture of the Li ethnic group but also enjoy farm life. During the day, you can go fishing, gathering snails, catching crabs, and picking wild vegetables by Fairy Creek near the village. You can cool off in the refreshing creek water while harvesting natural delicacies.

Fairy Creek, also known as Nanchuan River, is an important tributary of the Nandu River. It flows gently down from the back mountains of Luoshuai. Trekking up the creek, you can admire the enchanting tropical rainforest canyon scenery, with tall trees and dense shrubs interspersed, and the creek water flowing melodiously through them. The higher you go, the greater the waterfalls and the riverbed gradually changes from gravel strewn with snail shells to solid rock slabs.

Although the elevation drops are not steep, Fairy Creek occasionally cascades into small waterfalls and has “carved out” numerous pools on the rocks, creating many pure and refreshing natural hot springs. If you’re tired from trekking, soak in one of these pools for half an hour. The cool creek water penetrating your skin and pores will surely invigorate you. That refreshing feeling is incomparable to city swimming pools.

It’s worth mentioning that Baisha has an abundance of fruit due to the climate—they’re very sweet and also very affordable, truly offering great quality at low prices.

The meals in Luoshuai Village are all Li-style改良 flavors, not the traditional dishes eaten by Han people. Instead, they are full of Li and Miao ethnic characteristics. Typically, these dishes are not made by master chefs but are home-style cooking. Baisha is known as the “Bamboo Town,” with bamboo visible everywhere, so the bamboo shoots here are extremely fresh.

Luoshuai Village is at the foot of Yinggeling. So if you’re looking for food, you can forage for freshwater snails and river fish yourself. The area is often shrouded in thick fog, and with the changing light each day, Yinggeling always presents different colors and appearances. Another famous spot is Fairy Creek, said to be where the Seven Fairies lingered, making it a romantic destination—especially appealing to girls. Baisha is also home to Asia’s largest meteorite crater, called the Baisha Meteorite Crater. There’s also a horse ranch here, perfect for those who love horseback riding. If you visit Luoshuai Village, it’s recommended to also check out Jiujia Observation Deck in Baisha, where the heavy fog glistens with the sunlight, creating a particularly beautiful sight.
