East-West Lane

Adjacent to the Prince Jingjiang’s Mansion, East-West Lane is a comprehensive commercial district integrating tourism, folk culture, shopping, dining, leisure, and entertainment. It is the only remaining historical lane complex from the Ming and Qing dynasties in Guilin, featuring pleasant spatial proportions and offering views of the city’s ancient historical charm. It includes traditional lanes such as the East Lane of Zhengyang Street, Jiangnan Lane, and Lanjing Lane.

The area boasts an old-world charm with a variety of specialty shops and local delicacies. As an important part of Guilin’s historic and cultural cityscape, it is well worth a visit.

Here, traditional culture is blended with distinctive architecture to recreate the Ming and Qing-era building complex of the old East-West Lane. With its “market lanes and mansions of notable families” theme, it presents to visitors a diverse, multi-cultural historic district.
