The tiankeng cluster in Guilin City is located in Shijiaopen Village, Shitang Town, Quanzhou County. Situated in the southern part of Shitang Town, Quanzhou County, it borders Lianghe Township to the east and neighbors Guanyang County to the south, approximately 37 kilometers from the county seat of Quanzhou.

The village has a history of over 400 years, with numerous tourist attractions, among which the tiankeng cluster is the most famous.

There are a total of nine tiankengs near Shijiaopen Village: Banzhangyan, Lianyuyan, Antang, Didi Tang, Baishitang, Cangjingtang, Niupotang, Luobotang, and Caozitang. These tiankengs are distributed in an S-shape from north to south around Shijiaopen Village, forming a pristine tiankeng cluster landscape. The nine tiankengs vary in size and shape, including elongated, circular, and irregular forms. They are spaced about 400 meters apart, with depths ranging between 90 and 200 meters. The surrounding slopes of the tiankengs have varying inclines—some are sloped, others form near-vertical 90-degree walls, and some even feature indented eaves-like structures—exhibiting classic karst landform characteristics.
