Yangshuo Julong Pool

Yangshuo Julong Pool is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Julong Pool scenic area is located six kilometers south of Yangshuo County, situated between the famous attractions “Ancient Banyan at Chuan Yan” and “Remarkable Peaks of Mingyue.” Originally composed of two natural karst caves—Heiyan (Black Rock) and Shuiyan (Water Rock)—Julong Pool offers both land and water experiences. Outside the caves, the surrounding peaks stand majestically like dragons soaring through the clouds, while inside, the stalactites take on graceful forms resembling dragons playing in the water, hence the name “Julong Pool.”

The scenery of Julong Pool is entirely the work of nature’s artistry. Major attractions include: Dragon Maiden Greets Guests, Crystal Palace, Elder Guarding Treasures, Peach Blossom Banquet, Dragon Palace Jade Pillar, Imperial Concubine’s Fresh Bath, Stone Forest Wonder, Moon over the Sea, Mirage, Heavenly Queen’s Escort, Rooster Announcing Dawn, Peaks Reflected in Water, Dragon Palace Fairyland, and Group of Dragons Seeing Off Guests—totaling over forty scenes. The cave also features a mysterious underground river, allowing visitors to enjoy the sights either on foot with a walking stick or by boat, giving you the feeling of being in a fairyland.

Best Travel Season

April to October. During this period, Guilin enjoys mild weather, abundant rainfall, and ample sunshine.

Shuttle Bus

The distance from Guilin to Yangshuo is about 70 kilometers, with buses running every 15 minutes from 7:00 to 22:00. Regular buses from Guilin to Yangshuo cost 10 RMB per person, with a travel time of 1 hour and 10 minutes. The departure point is the square in front of Guilin Railway Station South.

Direct Bus

From Guilin Long-Distance Bus Station, direct express buses to Yangshuo cost 13 RMB per person, with a travel time of 50 minutes, and depart every 30 minutes.

Electric Cart

Within Yangshuo County, you can take an electric cart or ride a bicycle to get there.
