Totem Ancient Path is located within the renowned "Ten-Mile Gallery." The scenic area displays primitive life scenes including stone tools, pottery, natural totem poles, ancient @@@@, and mysterious chants accompanied by wild, captivating body language, recreating the historical features of Guilin’s ancestors’ residence, lifestyle, religion, hunting, and the Zhenpi culture from 12,000 to 7,000 years ago, opening a gateway to ancient times for visitors. Amid misty peaks, the dark-skinned Zhenpi people lived alongside the Li River and green mountains, engaging in fishing, hunting, and gathering, using simple stone and bone tools, as well as primitive pottery and shell artifacts. To the rhythm of lively "demon drums," dressed in colorful animal hides and wielding sharp spears, they hunted in the forests, grilled snakes and shellfish for food, and sang harmonious fisherman’s songs of the Li River and hunting ballads of the Gui Mountains. The entire scenic area is dynamic with storytelling, aesthetically pleasing visually, and rich in profound cultural content, embodying the sacred and primitive beliefs unique to Zhenpi culture. From these beliefs, we can easily perceive the worship of life and the philosophy of harmony between humans and nature demonstrated in the daily lives of Guilin’s ancestors since ancient times. The whole area encapsulates the wisdom of our ancestors and expresses our deep respect for their virtues, bringing new life to the ten-thousand-year-old Zhenpi culture brand. "In the north there were the Xiongnu, in the south the Nanman"—the Zhenpiyan culture represents the birth of Nanman culture and is one of the origins of Lingnan culture. Public Transport

From Yangshuo West Street, you can take Bus No. 5 to near Totem Ancient Path. After getting off at the main gate, it’s about a 20-minute walk or a 10-minute bike ride to reach the site.
