Among the attractions in Yangshuo, Zhuobi Peak is located on the banks of the Li River to the southeast of Yangshuo County. The mountain features a round base tapering to a sharp top, resembling an ink brush pointing toward the sky—hence its name. At the foot of the mountain lies the performance venue for "Impression Liu Sanjie." From Yangshuo Bridge looking eastward, Zhuobi Peak stands out prominently among the surrounding peaks, solitary and majestic. The emerald bamboo groves and mountain shadows along both sides of the Li River create a charming contrast, with the verdant mountains blending harmoniously into the blue waters—offering truly stunning scenery. This is also one of the best spots in Yangshuo to capture sunrise. Many photographs taken here have won awards or honorable mentions in various photography competitions.

Photography Tips

To photograph the Li River landscape with Zhuobi Peak as the backdrop, the optimal vantage point is generally from Yangshuo Bridge. Here, you can capture backlit sunrises, front-lit blue skies with white clouds, or the Li River shrouded in misty rain. After late autumn, due to the shifting position of the sunrise, it’s better to cross the bridge and shoot from the riverbank.
