Love Island

Surrounded by blooming flowers and fragrant all year round, Love Island is located on the northern side of the scenic area, adjacent to the Li River, and offers another great vantage point to view Elephant Trunk Hill. In 1983, the Guilin Municipal Government created this small island by piling up silt and sand during the dredging of the Li River to protect it. The island boasts a beautiful environment and lush vegetation. It was the best place for locals to fall in love in the 1970s, hence the name "Love Island." "Love Island" is a masterpiece nurtured by Guilin’s mother river, the Li River, and serves as a cradle for Guilin residents to pursue happiness and cultivate love. Here, the iconic "Elephant Trunk Hill and Moon Reflection" stands in the distance as a witness to love, wishing all lovers a happy ending.

Discount Policies

1. Active-duty military personnel, retired servicemen, disabled military personnel, martyrs’ families, and retired cadres may enter free of charge upon presenting valid credentials;

2. Persons with disabilities may enter free of charge with a disability certificate;

3. Elderly people aged 70 or above from Guangxi may enter free of charge with a red "Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Senior Citizen Preferential Certificate";

4. Elderly people aged 60 or above from Guangxi may enjoy a 50% discount on the scenic area ticket with a green "Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Senior Citizen Preferential Certificate";

6. On Double Ninth Festival Day, the scenic area is free of charge for elderly people aged 60 or above from Guangxi (with senior citizen certificate);

7. Children under 1.2 meters in height may enter free of charge; minors aged 6 (exclusive) to 18 (inclusive) years old and full-time university undergraduates or below may enjoy a 50% discount on the scenic area ticket with valid credentials such as resident ID or student ID;

8. Residents of Guilin City may enter free of charge with valid ID; residents of Guilin’s 12 counties and 5 urban districts may enter free of charge with their valid ID; local students may enter free of charge with valid student ID;
