Huixian River Park

Huixian River Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Huixian River Park is under the jurisdiction of Beiliu City. It is located at the section of Guirenguan on the Yurong First-Class Highway, at the southwestern corner of Beiliu urban area. The planned area covers 1,800 mu, including over 400 mu of water bodies and more than 200 mu of hills. It is the largest county/city-level urban park in Guangxi and a national 4A-level scenic area.

The design concept of the park is: one river, two zones, six areas, and one garden.

Area Division

“One river” refers to the ecological wetland landscape arranged along the Huixian River;

“Two zones” refer to the two sections divided by the east and west banks of the Huixian River. The eastern section includes the botanical garden area, park service area, and leisure sports area, focusing on creating a leisure space environment; the western section consists of the north main entrance area, the west secondary entrance, and the rural scenery area;

“Six areas” refer to the six functional zones on both banks of the Huixian River, namely the entrance area, rural scenery area, ecological wetland landscape area, botanical garden area, leisure sports area, and park service area. There are a total of 39 landscape nodes;

“One garden” refers to the horticultural exposition garden jointly formed by 22 townships within Huixian River Park.

In other words, Huixian River Park is a Lingnan-style scenic park along both banks of the Huixian River, featuring six zones and a horticultural exposition garden.

Ecological Wetland

The ecological wetland refers to the ecological wetland landscape nodes arranged along the Huixian River, which runs from north to south as the “one river.” The wetlands in the park serve as a gathering place for migratory birds heading south and act as the green lung of Beiliu urban area. They possess the functions of a wetland hydrological ecosystem and hold special ecological value.

Garden of Dreams

The Garden of Dreams, referred to as “one garden,” has a planned total area of approximately 170 mu. It is the first township-level horticultural exposition garden in the region, consisting of public areas and 22 township gardens. Modeled after the horticultural exposition format, it was independently designed, funded, and constructed by the 22 townships of Beiliu City. It fully explores and refines the natural, historical, architectural, and folk characteristics of each township. Using various forms such as sculptures, pavilions, gate towers, and plants, it showcases the local customs and historical features of each township.

Botanical Garden

The botanical garden is designed in the style of a specialized plant garden. Utilizing the characteristics of the terrain, it creates traditional garden landscapes featuring winding water systems, secluded garden paths, misty greenery, lake-and-mountain views, willows by the water, blooming flowers reflecting on the surface, hexagonal pavilions, winding corridors with double eaves, all complementing each other. There are also egrets flying low and flocks of migratory birds gathering, offering a serene experience that makes visitors forget the mundane world and linger without wanting to leave.
