Spirit Turtle Mountain is located on the southern bank of the Yong River in Hehe Village, Pumiao Town, in the northern part of Yongning District, Nanning City.

Legend has it that over a thousand years ago, a giant divine turtle came from the north, heading to the South Sea to live a carefree immortal life. Passing through this area, it found the scenery so beautiful and pleasant that it lingered, reluctant to leave, eventually transforming into Turtle Mountain. Spirit Turtle Mountain resembles a large spirit turtle with its head stretched out, floating by the riverbank. The mountain and the surging Yong River create a scene like a long snake coiling around the turtle—akin to turtles and snakes playing in the water or guarding the great river. The massive turtle’s back looks like a huge golden treasure placed by the Yong River. Standing on the turtle’s back and looking into the distance, you can see lush, overlapping mountains and endless ranges, with the Yong River’s incoming waters visible but not its outgoing flow—truly an auspicious and feng shui-rich land.

Spirit Turtle Mountain has an developable area of approximately 1.5 square kilometers and has now been included in the planning and construction of the Longgang area within the Wuxiang New District. While preserving its beautiful natural scenery, it serves as an ideal site, yet to be developed, for a city park integrating leisure, entertainment, and sightseeing.
