The Naliang Stage is a cultural relic protection unit of Nanning City.

Naliang Stage

A cultural relic protection unit of Yongning District, dating back to the Qing Dynasty. It is located at the northern end of Naliang Street in Menglian Village, Pumiao Town, Yongning District. Currently managed by the Yongning District Cultural Relics Management Office and affiliated with the Yongning District Culture and Sports Bureau. The stage is situated at the northern end of Naliang Street in Menglian Village, Pumiao Town, Yongning District, facing west with its back to the east, approximately 200 meters east of the Bachijiang River, and faces the North Emperor Temple across a large banyan tree to the west, with residential buildings along its southern and northern sides. According to research, the stage was first built in the 58th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1783 AD). It mainly consists of a performance stage and backstage area. The stage foundation is built with stone slabs, with walls rising 1.35 meters above ground level, while the performance stage itself is constructed from wooden planks. The stage surface and roof are about 6 meters high, with two interior columns at the rear, three eave columns on each of the left and right sides, all being round wooden pillars with a circumference of 70 cm. The column bases are stone drums, and there are no brick walls for protection. Small side doors on both sides at the back connect the stage to the backstage, which is enclosed on three sides with blue bricks and quartz blocks. The roof is covered with green tiles, glazed tile cylinders, and drip tiles, with a gourd-shaped sculpture about 20 cm high adorning the center of the main ridge, and mythical ao fish decorations at both ends of the hanging ridge. The beams and frames feature various floral patterns. Historically, this stage has served as a local venue for cultural and entertainment performances. The entire architectural structure embodies ethnic characteristics and holds significant value for the study of ancient local architecture and the history of theater.

Menglian Village: Located southwest of Pumiao Town, Menglian Village borders the Yudong Avenue to the north, the Bachijiang River section to the south, lies 2.5 kilometers east of the central core area of the Garden Expo Park, and neighbors Chating in Liangqing District to the west. The village covers an area of 16 square kilometers, comprising 10 natural sub-villages, one street, 50 villager groups, 1,501 households, and a population of about 5,700.
