Namengpo

Namengpo is a natural village within Xinjiang Community, Xinjiang Town, Yongning District, Nanning City, located 18 kilometers from the district government seat. Surrounded by mountains and water, the village boasts lush greenery, beautiful scenery, smooth access roads, convenient transportation, and a simple, honest local culture. The courtyards are neat, and it features distinctive elements of Zhuang ethnic culture, educated youth culture, and the Liuluo folk songs, as well as historical relics from the military presence during the Sino-Vietnamese Self-Defense Counterattack War. The residences in the village are centered around two major water bodies—Zhiquan Lake and Nalu Lake—and are clustered into five distinct natural spaces based on the typical hilly terrain of southern China, creating a well-arranged and richly layered layout.

Since 2014, when Namengpo was developed as a comprehensive demonstration village in Yongning District, the village’s appearance and the production and lifestyle of its residents have undergone tremendous changes—a beautiful mountain village where traditional Lingnan architecture blends seamlessly with Huizhou-style design is hidden amid lush greenery; a picturesque two-hectare lakeside landscape centered around Zhiquan Lake and Nalu Lake offers charming waterside views; two uniquely designed farm stays have been built and opened to visitors; delicate pavilions and waterside structures add refined touches, and the village’s tourism infrastructure continues to improve—creating a rural tourism area filled with a strong sense of nostalgia.
