Bubbling Spring Mountain Buluotuo Cultural Tourism Area

The Tianyang Bubbling Spring Mountain Buluotuo Cultural Tourism Area is located in Nanguan Village, Liulian Village, Baiyu Town, Tianyang County, 8 kilometers from the county seat.

"Gan Zhuang" is a Zhuang-language term, where "Gan" means cave and "Zhuang" means grotto; hence, Bubbling Spring Mountain means “the mountain with caves and grottoes.” It is said to be the dwelling place of Buluotuo in legend. Last year, after repeated field investigations and evaluations by experts and scholars from both the autonomous region and the state, it was confirmed that Buluotuo is the cultural progenitor of the indigenous peoples of the Pearl River basin.

Bubbling Spring Mountain is a sacred site commemorating Buluotuo, the cultural progenitor of the indigenous peoples of the Pearl River basin. It serves as a base for showcasing the indigenous Zhuang culture centered around Buluotuo culture, and as a venue for exploring the origins of civilization in the Pearl River basin. The mountain features several historical sites, including the Muniang Cave where Buluotuo and Muliujia were said to reside, the General Cave where Buluotuo’s guardian deity lived, and the Mandarin Duck Spring formed when Buluotuo blessed a pair of lovers. There are also natural wonders such as the Sky-Connecting Cave and the Twin Trees.

Bubbling Spring Mountain is also one of the important revolutionary memorial sites. In 1927, the "Erdu Uprising" led by Wei Baoqun, Huang Zhifeng, and others was held at the foot of Bubbling Spring Mountain.

Bubbling Spring Mountain is also the earliest and largest song fair in Guangxi. Every year from the 7th to the 9th day of the third lunar month, over 100,000 people from nearby counties such as Baise, Tiandong, Bama, Donglan, Lingyun, and Debao gather here to worship Buluotuo. Currently, the Bubbling Spring Mountain Buluotuo Cultural Tourism has been listed as a premium tourism resource of Baise City.
