Baise Dawangling Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national nature reserve.

The Dawangling Primeval Forest Scenic Area officially opened to the public on May 1, 2007. Located over 30 kilometers from downtown Baise, it lies within Longhe Village, Deleng Township, Youjiang District, Baise City. It is the closest primeval forest to a city in Guangxi—a world of returning to simplicity, a dream ecological homeland for humanity, and an ideal place for humans to reconnect with nature. Here you’ll find China’s most beautiful Alsophila Valley, also known as a Jurassic forest world, and a paradise for outdoor activities. The mountains here are majestic and grand, the forests lush and vast, the valleys natural and pristine, the flora abundant and rare, the Alsophila ancient and primeval, the streams meandering and clear, the waterfalls diverse and colorful, and the river stones uniquely shaped—combining “grandeur, beauty, antiquity, wildness, and serenity.” The climate is cool and pleasant, the local customs rich and simple, and the legends beautiful and touching.
