Xinlong Monument
Located in Xinlong Village, Simian Township, ninety li southeast of the county seat, at the junction of Ping, Teng, and Rong counties, the area features undulating mountains and picturesque scenery. From autumn 1927 to early 1928, the Party led the launch of the "Laowu Uprising" here as an attempt to establish a Soviet regime, marking a new chapter in the peasant movement. In 1987, the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the People's Government of Pingnan County funded the establishment of the Laowu Uprising Martyrs' Cemetery. The glorious deeds of the martyrs remain an indelible monument in the hearts of the people.
