Dapeng Guanbei Pool is the widest clear-water pool in Pengshan, with water that remains full all year round. Its crystal-clear, mirror-like surface is so transparent you can see the bottom, with schools of fish swimming about—it’s quite a sight. People often come here to fish quietly or row boats to catch fish. It’s practically a natural giant swimming pool. Legend has it that when Liang Song herded and studied on Langshi Mountain, he would often come here to water his horse and swim. Every summer and autumn, groups of local youths flock here to swim and play, stripping down and diving into the pool to cleanse their minds. People jokingly call it “Little Li River of Pengshan.”
