Gongzhou Park in Pingnan County is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Gongzhou Ecological Park is situated in the northern part of Pingnan County, closely integrated with the urban area. Every morning and evening, thousands of people come here to work out, exercise, relax, and explore, making it a vibrant and highly frequented location. The park’s primary highlight lies in its design and development, which focus on showcasing the pristine natural landscape combined with Pingnan’s historical and cultural heritage, striving to create a new urban landmark. Guided by the principles of “high-level planning, high standards, and a high starting point,” the park aims to establish a prime hub for leisure, entertainment, sports, education, and cultural activities in the city center.

The Historical and Cultural Park is one of the seven parks within Gongzhou Ecological Park and the first to be constructed. It is divided into seven major scenic areas: the Monument, Lotus Lake, Drunken Moon Lake, Lakes and Mountains in Harmony, the Historical and Cultural Corridor, the Main Gate Plaza, and the Memorial Hall. The completed monument has been newly decorated and surrounded by lush greenery, while upcoming relief sculptures and scenic walls will showcase Pingnan’s glorious history and its renowned historical figures. The Drunken Moon Lake Cultural Plaza is grand and imposing, with landscapes and people surrounded by green peaks and a serene body of water. Lotus Lake spans over 40,000 square meters with rippling blue waters, encircled by blooming gardens in spring, pavilions and corridors nestled against hills and water, and cascading waterfalls. The mountain park’s barbecue area is the largest of its kind in Guangxi for both barbecuing and camping. The main roads and hiking trails crisscross throughout the park, providing easy access everywhere. The entire park features 82.3% green coverage, with a stunning variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants arranged at varying heights for a breathtaking view.

Gongzhou Park is a fully open, public, and free-of-charge park. Themed around showcasing the historical and cultural legacy of Gongzhou, the park includes seven major attractions: Zhengjue Temple, Zhuangyuan Pavilion, Martyrs’ Monument, Historical and Cultural Square, Lotus Lake, Drunken Moon Lake, and Lakes and Mountains in Harmony, as well as multiple recreational, fitness, and entertainment facilities. Every morning and evening, large numbers of locals gather here for exercise, leisure, and relaxation, making it a bustling urban park.
