Yuan Chonghuan (1584–1630), courtesy name Yuansu, art name Ziru, also known as Yuan Dushi, was a renowned general in the late Ming Dynasty. He achieved major victories at Ningyuan and Ningjin, effectively resisting Qing forces, but resigned and returned home due to the influence of Wei Zhongxian. After Emperor Chongzhen Zhu Youjian ascended the throne and removed Wei Zhongxian, Yuan Chonghuan was reinstated. However, he was later falsely accused of colluding with the Later Jin forces during a battle against Hong Taiji, leading to his execution by lingchi under the order of Emperor Chongzhen, with his family exiled 3,000 li and his property confiscated. Danzhu Town: Danzhu Town has a long history. According to the Pingnan County Annals, from the second to the twelfth year of the Zhenguan era in the Tang Dynasty, it served as the seat of Qinchuan County. By the Republican era, it was known as Beiyi District or Danzhu Port. In January 1950, when the People’s Government of Pingnan County was established, it was called Danzhu District. In September 1984, it was named Danzhu Town. The town currently administers eight villages and one street, and is one of Guangxi’s key towns.

Danzhu Town is located on the north bank of the Xijiang River in the eastern part of Pingnan County, covering a total area of 94.34 square kilometers.
