Tonghe Town: Located in the northern part of Pingnan County, Tonghe Town borders Dongrong, Dalí, and Níngkāng towns of Téngxiàn County to the north, and connects with Ānhuái, Guānchéng, and Mǎliàn towns of the same county. The town covers a total area of 198 square kilometers, with a population of 53,628. It administers 14 administrative villages, has 27 Party (general) branches, and 1,218 Party members. The Pingnan–Jinxiu tertiary road runs through the entire town. The area is rich in water resources, with two town-managed hydroelectric stations—Shangxiang and Píngtáng—generating 3 million kWh annually; the county-managed Yàntān Hydropower Station generates 15 million kWh per year.
