Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs of Sanshui

The Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs of Sanshui is a cultural relic protection unit of Foshan City, a classic red tourism attraction, and a patriotic education base.

The Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs of Sanshui is located in the Memorial Square on the west side of the Jiyuan Pagoda within the Sanshui Forest Park in Sanshui District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. To commemorate the revolutionary martyrs of Sanshui and inspire future generations, the Sanshui District Committee and District Government planned and constructed the Sanshui Memorial Square in late 2002. It was completed in April 2003, covering an area of approximately 3,000 square meters, with a beautiful environment and lush greenery. The Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs of Sanshui was relocated from the Southwest Park of Sanshui to the Memorial Square. The monument stands 19 meters tall and consists of a platform, a base, and the main body. The base has three tiers, with the upper tier featuring bas-reliefs around its perimeter depicting the revolutionary activities of the local Party organizations in Sanshui, covering a total area of 28.8 square meters. The main body of the monument bears the inscription “Eternal Glory to the Revolutionary Martyrs,” written by Liu Tianfu, former Governor of Guangdong Province. On July 17, 1997, it was designated as a municipal-level key cultural relic protection unit by the Sanshui Municipal Bureau of Culture.
