Sanshui Lubao Hot Spring Resort

Sanshui Lubao Hot Spring Resort is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

“Such springs are only meant for heaven, rarely enjoyed by mortals.” This is what some visitors exclaimed after soaking in the Sanshui hot springs. The open-air hot spring area of Sanshui spans 60,000 square meters, with over 60 exquisitely designed hot spring pools scattered like heavenly pools among pavilions, terraces, blooming flowers, and lush greenery. Every step reveals a new view, as if you are in a “heavenly paradise,” where the misty steam of the springs carries a rich cultural ambiance that subtly nourishes both your soul and skin.

The resort's hot spring area consists of the Longevity Water Zone and six themed zones: Chinese Style, Thai Style, Japanese Style, European Style, Summer Style, and Modern SPA Hydrotherapy Classic Style.

[Longevity Water Health Zone]

This is the core pool of the hot spring area and represents the cultural essence of the ancient Sanshui village. Commonly known as “Longevity Water,” legend has it that when the poet Yang Wanli soaked here, he praised it for being able to “nourish life and enhance wisdom,” hence the name. This hot spring is made by blending traditional longevity vinegar, a local intangible cultural heritage with over 2,000 years of history, with the local spring water. The water is smooth and clear, resembling fine nectar or celestial liquid. Rich in cultural meaning and auspicious energy, it nourishes internal organs, balances yin and yang, calms the mind and body, and is suitable for all ages. It is considered a premium choice among the springs. Visitors with the opportunity shouldn’t miss it — one hasn’t truly experienced the Sanshui ancient village hot springs without soaking in this one.

[Chinese Divine Land Style Zone]

Designed in the classical style of Chinese gardens, evoking the poetic imagery of “winding paths leading to secluded spots, with meditation rooms nestled deep in flowers and trees,” this area features medicinal herb-enriched hot springs, each offering different health benefits. Regular soaking in these herb-infused pools can promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, relieve pain, strengthen the body, delay aging, and boost immunity.

It is mainly divided into two sections, comprising a total of 29 pools: the Northwest Zone and the Southern Yue Zone. The Northwest Zone has 19 pools with various medicinal additives for beautifying, fitness, and treating ailments. The Southern Yue Zone, built with pebble and water rice stone materials, includes 10 pools.

[Thai Southeast Asian Style Zone]

With an elegant and graceful Southeast Asian-Thai cultural theme, this zone is a beauty and wellness hot spring area ideal for female visitors. Stepping into this area offers the delightful sensation described in the line, “Smooth spring water washes fair skin, and bathing restores eternal youth.” Each pool provides different beauty-enhancing effects. Regular soaking can improve blood circulation, regulate menstruation, repair skin tissue, and leave your skin smoother and fairer, giving you a “rejuvenated, ever-youthful glow.”

[European Mediterranean Style Zone]

This zone features three hot spring pools in elegant European-Mediterranean style. Europeans prefer lukewarm baths, and these springs are close to human body temperature, also called “neutral warmth.” Paired with a serene and private atmosphere, they are especially favored by couples. After soaking, couples often feel a tender mood, described as “delicate clouds crafting beauty, exchanging glances full of affection.” Known as the “Spring of Love,” it’s not to be missed by romantic duos.

[Japanese Yamato Culture Style Zone]

This area is infused with Japanese Yamato cultural charm, creating a refined and poetic space that evokes the gentle elegance and romance of cherry blossoms, as portrayed in the line, “In March, cherry blossoms bloom, their petals like butterflies in flight.” It features exquisitely crafted stone slab baths and sauna facilities with various therapeutic effects. Following Japanese hot spring traditions, people often prefer high-temperature baths, so this area includes five high-temperature hot spring pools. The sauna and stone slab baths are particularly effective in treating rheumatism, back pain, insomnia, and neurasthenia.

[Modern SPA Hydrotherapy Classic Style Zone]

This area is designed with a classic modern aesthetic, featuring a special hydrotherapy massage pool known as the Huaxia Pool. Through pulsed water jets targeting various meridian points on the body, it helps relax the mind and body, stimulate circulation, relieve muscle tension, improve blood flow, and promote overall wellness — making it an ideal hot spring for office workers to de-stress.

Musical Fountain Open-Air Huaxia Pool

[Summer Style Zone] (Note: Due to dropping temperatures, the Summer Style Zone, swimming pool, wave pool, and children’s water park have been closed and will reopen in summer 2018. Please note.)

A large water park centered around dynamic aquatic entertainment. When open in summer, the wave pool delivers the thrilling experience of crashing waves, splashing water, and snow-like spray. Swimmers can dance with the waves, feeling exhilarated as if galloping across the prairie or sailing and playing on the ocean, full of enthusiasm and joy. There is also a children’s play pool designed with slides, water umbrellas, water guns, and water basketball for endless fun. The area also features an 8-lane professional swimming pool for serious swimmers to showcase their skills.
