Southwest Park in Sanshui is a comprehensive park rebuilt on the site of the original Southwest Park. The park retains the original lush trees and has undergone appropriate modifications to the terrain, making it more natural, varied, and well-arranged. The large existing fish ponds have been transformed into scenic lake areas. The park focuses primarily on greening. The entire park follows a landscape garden structure that emphasizes harmony between green landscaping, architectural features, and natural scenery, creating an innovative, culturally rich, beautifully environment, and elegantly styled comprehensive park integrating sightseeing, recreation, leisure, and sports — all set within an ecologically natural garden space.

Based on functional needs, the park is divided into several scenic areas: the South Gate Scenic Area, Sports Activity Area, Osmanthus Island Scenic Area, Lighthouse Square Area, Wetland Garden Area, Sculpture Garden Area, Yao Terrace Dew-Collecting Scenic Area, Children’s Activity Area, and Elderly Activity Area.
