Zhuangyuan Bridge and Memorial Archway is a cultural tourism attraction.

There is a Zhuangyuan Bridge Street along the East Lake in Xiangyin County. The street isn't long—just over a hundred meters—and not wide either, just three or five meters at most. Though it’s just a narrow little alley, the “Zhuangyuan” (top imperial scholar) title it carries is quite prestigious. The families who have lived here for generations may not all be well-versed in the classics or the refined language of scholars, but there must have been at least one or two scholarly households? However, today’s Zhuangyuan Bridge Street, from one end to the other, is almost entirely lined with grain vendors, oil sellers, and market stalls. It’s noisy with carts and horses, bustling with the sounds of commerce, and not a trace of scholarly atmosphere can be detected. Of course, this is the scene of recent years. As for its past, even over the past hundred years, those who walked this street were mostly students frequenting the Xiangyin Confucian Temple, or education officials riding in on horseback or in sedan chairs.
