The Dayang Sunjiagang Site is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Era: Neolithic Period

The Sunjiagang Site is located on a terrace about 1–1.5 meters above the surrounding area in Group 3 of Dayang Village, Daping Township, Lixian County, Changde City, Hunan Province. It is 4 kilometers northeast of the Chengtoushan Site and is an ancient site from the Neolithic Period. The site is situated on a second-level terrace about 1,000 meters north of Limuzhuang in Xicaiyuan Village, Kunyang Town, Yexian County, on the northern bank of the Kui River. The site stretches 650 meters from north to south and 260 meters from east to west, covering a total area of 170,000 square meters. The cultural layer is 2–3.6 meters thick and contains artifacts such as three-legged bowls, flared-rim jars, and arc-blade stone spades from the Peiligang period; tripods, jars, basins, bowls, and red-topped bowls from the Yangshao period; and basins, tripods, jars, and urns from the Longshan period. From the Warring States and Han periods, pottery dou vessels, jars, tripods, and hollow bricks have been unearthed. Production tools such as stone axes, spades, chisels, sickles, and shell sickles have also been discovered at the site.

In May 2013, it was designated and announced by the State Council as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Daping Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Lixian County. Established in 1956 as Daping Township, it was reorganized as a commune in 1961 and reverted to a township in 1984. Located in the central part of the county, it is 10 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 35.52 square kilometers with a population of 20,000, the township government is headquartered in Zhoujiapo. Provincial Road 1868 runs across the township. It governs 14 village committees: Yucheng, Damiao, Daxin, Baitang, Qunle, Dayang, Xinsheng, Huayun, Sanhu, Daping, Huangyan, Mengping, Dongyue, and Zhongcen. Township enterprises are mainly engaged in building materials and chemicals. Agriculture primarily produces rice, cotton, and rapeseed. The area has abundant gypsum deposits.
