The former site of the Zhengyangmen East Railway Station on the Beijing–Fengtian Railway is located at the northeastern end of Qianmen Street and is listed as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Beijing. Built in 1903 and officially opened in 1906, it served as Beijing’s largest railway station until 1958. The station building features European architectural style and remains largely intact today. It is a representative example of early Chinese railway station architecture.
