Xinning Jade Maiden Cave is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Jade Maiden Cave is located in Shuimiao Town, Xinning County, 15 kilometers from the county seat, and is a newly emerged gem within the Langshan Scenic Area. It is famed for its lush mountains, mysterious caves, peculiar rocks, spiritual ambiance, and thriving lotus flowers.

The scenic area is surrounded by mountains, with undulating peaks, dense bamboo and forest, serene and clean surroundings, high waterfalls, and murmuring mountain springs. There also stands an imposing Buddhist temple with majestic statues, clouds of incense, and the lingering sound of chants. Devotees come in an endless stream. In the liberation pond, the water sparkles with colorful fish swimming gracefully, while the lotus pond is lush and fragrant. Jade Maiden Cave itself is mysterious and deep, with winding passages—currently only 2,800 meters have been developed. Inside the cave, there are various stunning stalagmites, stalactites, stone curtains, and stone flowers, all naturally formed with exquisite craftsmanship. Statues such as the “Goddess of Mercy,” “the Jade Emperor,” “the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea,” and “Tang Seng and His Disciples” are solemn and vivid, lifelike in both form and spirit. Other formations like the “Golden Cat Soaring,” “Lion Seeking Treasure,” “Giant Shark Raising Its Head,” and “Divine Ox Playing in Water” are dynamic and exquisitely realistic. In the “Jade Maiden Lake,” underground river water flows mightily with no visible source or end. By the lake, there is a naturally formed “Jade Maiden” stone statue with an elegant hair bun, gauzy attire, a slender waist, and full hips, poised in graceful beauty. The cave takes its name from this figure.
