The Peng Clan Ancestral Hall of Shi Hua is a cultural relic protection unit of Hunan Province.

The Peng Clan Ancestral Hall is located in Shi Hua Village, Dabuqiao Subdistrict, Loudi Economic Development Zone, facing south. According to the written records in the clan genealogy, the hall was first built in the second year of the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty and was extensively renovated in the 36th year of the Republic of China. Constructed with brick and wood, the building features horse-head-shaped firewalls on both sides. It has three courtyards in depth, is 38.7 meters long, and 14.3 meters wide. The interior is supported by blue brick pillars and stone plinths, featuring a stable structure. The entrance is adorned with various colorful painted patterns and clay sculptures depicting the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, all well-preserved, majestic, and vividly crafted. The upper hall also bears an inscription reading “Donation Stele for Ferry Crossing, the 25th Year of the Jiaqing Reign of the Qing Dynasty.” In front of the ancestral hall flows the Lian River, while behind it lies Lion-Shaped Mountain, making it a truly auspicious feng shui site. After several years of application, the Peng Clan Ancestral Hall was officially approved as an immovable cultural relic protection site under Document No. [2012]14 issued by the Loudi Cultural Relics Administration. The main structure of the hall itself was designated as the protected area, with a construction control zone extending 30 meters in all four directions—east, west, south, and north—around the main building.

In recent years, the main structure of the ancestral hall has been continuously restored and improved, preserving its cultural relics appearance and giving the surroundings a completely renewed look. To effectively protect the cultural resources and promote traditional culture, Shi Hua Village established the Peng Clan Ancestral Hall Cultural Relics Management Association. According to Peng Guojun, the chairman of the association, in order to make the ancestral hall more standardized and complete, elevate its cultural relic status, and eventually designate it as a national key cultural relic protection site, the association has formulated strict management regulations and is making every effort to protect and develop this precious national resource, as well as to pass on traditional culture. Additionally, the association plans to leverage the unique geographical advantages and scenic beauty of Lion-Shaped Mountain in Shi Hua Village to construct a hiking trail and develop the mountain into a forest park, making the Peng Clan Ancestral Hall a new tourist attraction in Loudi.

Dabuqiao Subdistrict: Dabuqiao Subdistrict of Loudi City, Loudi District, Hunan Province, is situated in central Hunan. It lies between 111°56'–112°03' east longitude and 27°41'–27°47' north latitude.
